Groupiness

For all of you out there that are involved in the online networking world of Facebook we encourage you to search us. There are several OneVerse Facebook groups out there and we would love if you would join the groups. We love Facebook and all of our online friendships and your groupiness makes us smile.

Thanks for all of you out there who are already our virtual friends and groupies, there is a special niche in our hearts for you all. You don't know how happy we all get in the little OneVerse office when we see new MySpace friends or Facebook groups.

Thanks for supporting and making a difference!

Closed Doors

Update on some people. Following Thirsty 07 we have been thinking recently about people in areas of the world where the gospel is not as free as it is here in North America. So we decided to give a few updates and prayer requests about the people featured at Thirsty 07. Both groups are in Asia and both are moving along in their translation of the New Testament.

The Group from Central Asia

Translation is going well; there are several exciting aspects of the translation. The first is all the supplemental material and multimedia God is providing in and around the translation work. The Jesus film, a film on the prophets and other scripture videos are readily available for people to use. This type of multimedia is a huge blessing for a translation team and will greatly help in both distribution and interest in the written Word. There has also been print literature helping the translation team along, the most recent being a dictionary for the language.

Quick Prayer Requests:

Pray that the multimedia helps with spark interest in the Gospel for non believers and will encourage believers

Pray for a newly formed women’s Bible study

Pray that the seeds of the gospel would grow and the group would be hungry to hear God’s story.

Pray for the translation team and they continue the marathon of translating the New Testament

If you would like to be connected to the Central Asia people group please email us.

The SouthEast Asia Group

The group are moving along steadily in translation. Recently a book of 211 hymns was released. The people group is facing a difficult economic situation, and many people are struggling to keep their communities and families well. They did however just finished up a 3 month campaign to encourage literacy.

Quick Prayer Requests

Pray that the people would be relieved of the physical challenge of poverty

Pray that the translations would be strong in continuing the translation.

Thank God for the hunger the people have for the Gospel.

This group still has financial need for their New Testament pray that that need would be met.

If you would like to get connected to the SouthEast Asia people please email us.

As we think about the gospel in sensitive areas the OneVerse team would love if you would post some comments to aid others as they continue to think and pray about areas of the world where the gospel is restricted. We’d love to learn about it all along with you!
